Looking ahead with strategic planning Public Works leadership and managers came together to listen and share ideas as part of the Public Works Strategic Planning Workshop facilitated by Kate Parmelee, Deputy City Manager for Strategic Initiatives and Chief Innovation Officer.
With the rapid growth in our community, it is important for our department to continue to manage and plan for future growth and support in the goals of our City. Strategic planning helps our department plan and identify priorities. The workshop provided an opportunity for our team to come together and discuss reporting and ways to improve processes.
Public Works oversees City resources that manage the planning, design, construction and maintenance of City infrastructure and various facilities. This includes roads and bridges, water quality and drainage, traffic operations, landscaping and emergency management. Our team is dedicated to protecting, maintaining and improving our community.
