Supporting the City strategy through department workshops
In December, the Strategic Initiatives and Innovation team led a series of strategic planning workshops that brought together staff from Emergency Management, Risk Management and the IT Help Desk to collaborate and align their goals with the City’ s FY 25 / 26 Strategic Plan. Each session was tailored to the department’ s unique role while maintaining a consistent structure that encouraged open dialogue, performance assessment, innovation and action planning.
Through these workshops, the SII team demonstrated its key role in fostering strategic thinking and innovation across City departments. By equipping teams with tools to assess performance, engage stakeholders and plan effectively, SII continues to drive meaningful progress toward a more resilient and resident focused City.
Naturally PSL team hears from local environmental stewardship volunteers
Celebrating the season with local volunteers and partners, the Naturally PSL and Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful teams attended the University of Florida ' s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences ' Master Gardener Luncheon to connect with local volunteers supporting environmental stewardship across the county.
The City teams heard from Master Gardeners’ ongoing education and outreach efforts and explored other ideas for future collaboration around Florida-friendly landscaping, invasive removals, pollinator gardens and other resident-led stewardship project ideas in neighborhood green spaces. www.
