PSL on the Mic talks to the new Chief , reviews 2024 with Mayor Martin
There ' s a new police chief in town and his name is Leo Niemczyk . On Episode 39 , Chief Niemczyk sat down to talk about his vision for the department , which includes updating its evidence-based policing method and continuing to recruit , hire and train officers to keep up with our growing City .
Port St . Lucie has been the safest large city in Florida for a decade , which Chief Niemczyk attributes not only to the department ' s success at reducing crime but also to officers ' professionalism and positive relationship with residents .
On Episode 40 , Mayor Shannon Martin dropped into the studio for the last episode of the year to discuss the projects and accomplishments that shaped Port St . Lucie in 2024 . From the opening of Pioneer Park and The Port District to breaking ground on the new police training facility , there was a lot to be proud of this year .
