L-Acoustics P1 AVB Processor & Measurement Platform
L-Acoustics is now shipping the multifunctional P1 AVB processor and measurement platform. It is one of the first products developed to be fully
compliant with Avnu’s Milan protocol requirements, which were announced at InfoComm 2018. Milan compliancy has also been added into
L-Acoustics Avnu-certified LA4X and LA12X amplified controllers.
The P1 processor is a three-in-one unit that serves as a front-end processor, an audio matrix and bridge, and a system measurement and tuning
platform. The P1 takes the hardware-intensive task of system optimization and streamlines it to one piece of hardware, fully integrated with the LA
Network Manager software platform.
It has equalization, delay, and dynam-
ics, plus four analog line inputs with A/D
conversion. Integrating 20 inputs and 16
outputs in one rack space, the P1 can
matrix, bridge, and distribute AVB, AES/
EBU, and analog audio.

Auralex T-Coustic
Acoustic Ceiling Tiles
Auralex Acoustics has updated its T-Coustic
line of ceiling tile acoustical treatments.
The T-Coustic ceiling tiles use a 1-in. ab-
sorptive fibreglass core that, according to
the company, offers 20-45 per cent higher
NRC ratings than standard tiles. T-Coustic
tiles reduce unwanted reflections in the room
by reducing the amount of reverberation
present, which results in an improvement in
speech intelligibility. Sized to fit standard 2 x
2-ft. and 2 x 4-ft. ceiling grids, they’re ideal for
sound-critical spaces such as offices, confer-
ence rooms, medical facilities, or basement
environments.
