Audio-Technica 5000 Series Wireless System
Audio-Technica has released the third generation of its 5000 Series frequency-agile true diversity UHF wireless systems . It ’ s designed for use on professional tours and festivals , in stadiums , concert halls , houses of worship , and other demanding audio environments .
The 5000 Series components include : the ATW-R5220 dual receiver ; ATW-R5220DAN dual receiver with Dante output ; ATW-T5201 body-pack transmitter ; ATW-T5202 handheld transmitter ; ATW-C510 cardioid dynamic microphone capsule ; ATW-C710 cardioid condenser microphone capsule ; ATW-C4100 cardioid dynamic microphone capsule ; ATW-C6100 hypercardioid dynamic microphone capsule ; ATW-C3300 cardioid condenser microphone capsule ; and ATW-C5400 cardioid condenser microphone capsule ( AE5400 equivalent ).
The new dual receiver features the company ’ s dual-compander circuitry that processes high and low frequencies separately and True Diversity operation . The receiver has been updated with a tuning bandwidth of 148 MHz : 470 – 608 MHz and 653 – 663 MHz ( duplex gap ), and users have the option of selecting a standard receiver with two balanced XLR outputs ( ATW-R5220 ) or a receiver that also includes a Dante output ( ATW-R5220DAN ). The full-rack receiver chassis holds two independent receivers and offers antenna power , frequency scan , IR sync functionality , a ground-lift switch , and a front-panel headphone jack .

Waves TRACT Loudspeaker Correction Plug-In
Waves Audio has released the TRACT Loudspeaker Correction plug-in , a corrective EQ and system time alignment tool for live PA systems or studio environments . Together with Rational Acoustics ’ Smaart audio analysis software , TRACT is designed to make correcting a sound system ’ s EQ quicker and easier .
With Rational Acoustics ’ Smaart v8 or Smaart Di v2 running , the TRACT plug-in allows users to view frequency and phase response in real time . Users can quickly take and merge snapshots of their system ’ s transfer measurements and have TRACT instantly calculate a corrective FIR EQ curve .
There are four reference frequency response curves to select from , or users can save their own reference presets . Users can also augment TRACT ’ s calculated FIR with up to eight bands of low-phase IIR filter shapes , including bell , low / high shelves , flat-top , Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley , tilt , and all-pass .

Focusrite RedNet X2P Dante Audio Interface
Focusrite has introduced the RedNet X2P high-performance 2x2 Dante audio interface . The RedNet X2P features two Red Evolution mic pres , balanced line outputs , and a stereo headphone amp .
Housed in a compact form factor , it provides a high-performance remote I / O solution for Focusrite RedNet or other Dante audio-over-IP networks . The X2P can be quickly integrated into Dante-enabled broadcast , post production , and music workflows , since power , audio , and remote control are supplied using one Ethernet cable . For on-air productions requiring additional remote mic pres , the X2P provides a quick , modular one-cable solution .
The two digitally-controlled Red Evolution mic pres provide ultra-clean gain along with stereo linking , individually-selectable phantom power , a high-pass filter , and phase reverse . Additionally , they include Air mode , emulating the sound of Focusrite ’ s classic transformer-based mic preamps . The RedNet X2P provides high-performance audio conversion with a dynamic range of over 118dB .
