The School ’ s aim to have a meaningful impact on the way business is conducted in Asia can only be achieved through engagement with leaders in business , industry and government . Our engagement with industry is focused on promoting responsible and sustainable management practices .
Ageing and technology - A way forward
The School of Business hosts and jointly organises a range of events that share the fi ndings of our research on responsible management with industry . A central feature of our industry symposium is that they facilitate discussion between academics and people in business and government of how research can be applied to achieve responsible management practices in the real world .
Leading the way forward in support of the ageing community , the School ’ s Gerontechnology Lab plays an important role in fostering dialogue and partnerships in geriatric healthcare . In 2020 , the 4th Gerontechnology Symposium titled “ The New Life for Senior Citizens in a Digital World ” addressed the key challenges of Covid-19 , and the impact on the digital divide within the ageing community . The symposium brought together academics , researchers , government , and industry practitioners to share best practices and nuanced approaches to bridging the digital divide for the ageing community . In 2019 , the 3rd Gerontechnology Symposium , titled “ Gerontechnology and Innovation : Challenges and Opportunities ” was jointly organised with The British Geriatrics Society ( BGS ) and the Malaysian Society of Geriatric Medicine ( MSGM ).

Leading the dialogue on HR best practices
n 2019 , the School of Business continued to host the 3rd annual forum , providing insights into ways to bridge current human resource management research and practices in sustainability . The event has an average turnout of more than 150 participants each year . Prominent HR practitioners from the industry share the latest HR information and opportunities for Monash staff and students to learn and engage with industry experts .
