INSPIRING ENTREPRENUER SPEAKER SERIES
In 2020 , eiHub organised a virtual speaker series to feature leading entrepreneurs and the stories of their social enterprises .
This speaker series was also adopted by several Masters-level units , where students and academics engaged in dialogue on sustainability and enabled opportunities to network .
Discovery Muay Thai Imran Harith , Founder and Head Trainer
Imran shared about his background and the experiences that inspired him to start Discover Muay Thai ( DMT ), an enterprise that provides health and fi tness training and services to individuals and corporate companies , but also with a social initiative to support underprivileged youths to lead a life of purpose and dignity . DMT empowers at-risk and troubled youths , taking them through a 4-month leadership development program aimed at improving their socio-economic standing and self-development through values ingrained in the art of Muay Thai such as discipline , self-confi dence , respect , resilience , leadership and honour .

PichaEats is an enterprise that serves delicious international cuisine cooked by refugee families in Malaysia , empowering and providing access to sustainable employment opportunities for refugees . Suzanne shared the inspiring story of how her team started PichaEats with the aim of bringing positive economic , social and psychological support for refugees , and shed light on the challenges faced by them . And with an international community of great cooks , PichaEats helps rebuild lives through food .

Jason shared insights into his background and experiences that inspired him to start EMPOWER , an enterprise that inspires the consumption and supply of electricity from renewable sources by off ering cryptocurrency rewards .
