Timeless Treasures

A Celebration of Poetry, Music and Dance of the Past!

By Year 1 and Year 2 students at the Emirates Literature Festival 2016

A classic treat celebrating the art of poetry, music and dance was presented by the students of Year 1and Year 2 at the Fringe event of the Emirates Litfest 2016 at Dubai Festival City. The versatile young Pristinians showcased their exceptional talent and abilities in a mind-blowing performance of oratory, dance and musical skills, celebrating the enduring appeal of the written word which touches the human spirit across the test of time and experience -the Timeless Treasures!

They enthralled the audience by their grace and excellence as they recited the timeless treasures of 19th century poems -The Rainbow (by Christina Rossetti)The Arrow and the Song (by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow), Little Things (by Julia A. Carney) and Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening(by Robert Frost).

The dance and music performances rocked the stage as they presented mesmerising performances one after the other, bringing alive the glorious music of the past, ranging from the legendary Elvis Priestly to the ever-popular melody of 1979, ‘Rainbow Connection’!
