This year the Cancer Council celebrates 20 years of morning teas , and so far have raised an incredible $ 110 million in total to help beat cancer . As a national organisation the Council also advises governments and other bodies about appropriate practices and policies for the prevention , detection and treatment of cancer and advocate for the rights of cancer patients to best treatment and supportive care .
