This year the Cancer Council celebrates 20 years of morning teas, and so far have raised an incredible $ 110 million in total to help beat cancer. As a national organisation the Council also advises governments and other bodies about appropriate practices and policies for the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer and advocate for the rights of cancer patients to best treatment and supportive care.

Hay Department of Lands and Hay Shire Council host the Morning Tea each year. Sadly this year is the last that Nina Woods and Gwenda Wall will be involved as Lands Offie staff. The government restructuring of the department has meant that their positions have been made redundant.
