centre. There is a nice short walk down to the beach where in late July to early September you can observe the spectacular migration of semi-palmated sandpipers and other birds of their ilk. They put on a dazzling display of aerobatics that should not be missed. a few guest beers from different maritime breweries. Peter and Jeff Grandy are imports from P.E.I who have taken to Alma in a big way and provide an excellent product. The Captain’s Inn located on the main drag provides excellent reasonably priced accommodation and is situated next to the Fundy General Store on one side and the Harbour View restaurant on the other. Across from the Captain’s Inn Jeff and Peter Grandy is the Alpine Motor Inn with a great waterfront You can then continue past location and the Parkland Village the intriguingly named Ha Ha Inn which is home to an excellent cemetery and up to New Horton restaurant called The Tides. and on to Cape Enrage. Cape Enrage is the home of one N.B.’s oldest lighthouses. You can rappel, zipline, eat and enjoy of one of the finest coastal 270 degree views that you will ever see. On a hill overlooking the Bay are the Vista Ridge Cottages, open year round and which provide a great view of the Bay. There isn’t any shortage of fine lodging in the Village. After coming away from “The Cape” you continue on route 915 being treated to more impressive vistas until you reach Alma, it is the gateway to Fundy National Park which is the land of salt and fir. Alma is a quaint little fishing village where the fishing boats sit on the ocean floor at low tide and then ride the high tide 30 ft. up to become almost even with the deck of the wharf. Another spot to check out that is rather unique in its culinary options and its creek side patio is called the Octopuses’ Garden. In Alma you will find the Buddha Bear Café and the Holy Whale Brewery both located in an old United Church which has been repurposed rather cleverly. There are artisans galore, a classic half moon sandy beach (Waterside Beach), a winery and many other B&B’s, campgrounds and many more places to eat.
