City festivals provide summertime fun
Braving the summer heat to attend a local city festival is a great way to gather as a community. The options include Albertville Friendly City Days Festival, Rockin’ Rogers and St. Michael Daze and Knights.
To kick off festivities and the summer season, the fun begins at Albertville Friendly City Days in Central Park. Event highlights include a citywide garage sale, carnival rides and games, a craft beer night, live music, a fireworks display and the classic Grande Day Parade. Near the conclusion of the festival is the joyous event of crowning the junior and and senior Albertville Royalty Court from local youth candidates.
This year, Albertville Friendly City Days will be Wednesday, June 10, to Sunday, June 14. A complete schedule of events will be published in May.
The week following Albertville Friendly City Days, musicians will rock the stage at the Entertainment Center during Rockin’ Rogers. Along with the festival ' s staple live music, Rockin’ Rogers includes a family night, a carnival and games, beer tent and a parade.
Festival grounds are located outdoors at Rogers Community Center. Youth representatives will also be crowned to the Rogers Ambassador Program during the festival. In 2026, Rockin’ Rogers will take place on Thursday, June 18 to Saturday, June 20. It will be a milestone 25th celebration for the hometown festival.
Rounding out an action packed summer, the St. Michael Daze and Knights Festival has“ something for everyone” every August. Festivities take place in and around City Hall.
Enjoy two packed days including family bingo, a business expo, the annual 5K race and kids run, the chalk walk, a bean bag tournament, a car show, a beer tent, a parade and more. Every year, the St. Michael Royalty Court is crowned the Saturday of the festival. This year, St. Michael Daze and Knights will be hosted from Friday, Aug. 7 to Saturday, Aug. 8.
