COMMUNITY GUIDE 2026

Rogers Library: A community gathering space

Rogers Library is a community hub for information and learning, with programs and services for residents of all ages and interests. Located at 21300 John Milless Drive, the current building opened in 1980 and was renovated in 2016.
Library service in the Rogers area dates back to the 1950s when a book station at Ahlstrom’ s Hardware Store held 400 volumes for checkout. Hennepin County’ s bookmobile served area residents from 1970-80. More than 30,000 patrons visited Rogers Library in 2024, checking out more than 75,000 physical items.
The Rogers Library is a part of the Hennepin County Library system, which has 41 libraries that serve 1.2 million county residents. All branches have public wifi, computers, in-person and online programming, hold services, printing, scanning, copying, self-checkouts and more.
Library card holders can peruse Hennepin County Library’ s millions of books, eBooks and audiobooks. They can also access hundreds of online resources such as the Minnesota music streaming service MNspin, the K-12 homework help service with one-on-one tutors HelpNow, and the thousands of video tutorials taught by experts on LinkedIn Learning.
The library hosts regular free or low-cost events for all ages.
Rogers Library is supported through Friends of Rogers Library, a volunteer-run organization whose mission includes uplifting the spirit of the surrounding community. As ambassadors for the library, Friends of Rogers Library members advocate for community needs and help promote library programs and services.
The Rogers Library branch features amenities such as a reservable meeting room, a play space for children and comfortable seating. For more information, visit hclib. org
