I'd buy it!” “There is a voice that is maturing and a style that starts making its way...” “Her sound is young, and by that I mean growing and getting better all of the time.” “The magnificence of the world of music is that you are here to express yourself, and Roxie is doing just that.” “Time is showing Roxie that she can further imprint her mark, and can convey her convictions effectively as she gets even better.” “Congratulations to Roxie, as she is on the right path.” 10 Reasons Why I Love Doing What I Do – Music 1) I can let my imagination run wild, encourage myself to go beyond and explore what I can create from it. 2) Music is the perfect way to capture emotion. I get the most amazing feeling listening to songs I love, and really embrace the emotion it gives, so I would love to give people these feelings with my music. 3) Being an artist gives you the freedom to be exactly who you want, have an image, a persona that can be embraced with your music. Diversity is respected and requested! 4) It’s not your average day job, for me it’s a joy that can also give me a future and take me further to achieve more than an average job. If you are successful, people know your name, and you can earn the respect of people because of your music and make a difference in the world with resources and popularity earned. 5) Writing songs is a way to let my feelings go, to mark a time in my life and are stories that have either happened to me or I invent something. It’s chronology to my life. 6) Music is an art form that constantly evolves, new techniques and trends change with the times. You can dedicate your life to it, as Michael Jackson has said: “study the greats and become greater”. Inspiration can strike from music centuries ago, all the way to the last song you heard. 7) Performing is something I love, there’s no better way to get excited than being moments away from seeing your favourite artist of band, or forgetting about your troubles singing and dancing the night away to the music - played live! 8) I feel that music on the radio isn’t as good as it used to be. For me, something lacks in dedication, creativity and often songs too similar. If I were able to market my music mainstream whilst keeping most of my creative freedom, I feel I could be the refreshing difference by bringing back integrity more synonymous with the past than present. 9) I like the philosophy behind music and art in general, the concept that freedom of expression is paramount, that’s it’s not always a competition. Like art, music is so important in popular culture, it can capture it in context, or make it’s mark on it. 10) I feel I’m born to do it! -”I would like to be a well known artist who is original yet delivers the kind of music people enjoy. I would like to be an international star and benefit people from that by engaging in philanthropy and many other good causes, as well as be known as a great performer with style and flair.”
