Entry requirements

This course is available to applicants with current registration with the Dental Council , or equivalent professional body , to practice dentistry clinically . Students who have previously achieved the PgDip in Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry are able to apply to the MSc to complete the final research year .

You ’ ll undertake one distance learning module that will require 600 hours over the course of the year to study effectively . Much of this is for you to focus on your research project .

CONTACT TIME

Most timetabled teaching will take place at the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy during the day , on a Friday or Saturday . Clinical placements will take place at one of Solent NHS Trust ’ s facilities from Monday to Friday . Guest lectures may be scheduled outside normal teaching hours .
