Photography MA Advance your skills and passion for photography and visual arts , developing and refining your unique photographic practice .
Pursue an understanding of the contexts that situate your practice , engage with the debates informing and underpinning contemporary photographic practices , and hone your authorial voice . Gain the core knowledge and skills to work effectively across photography-related industries as an artist , educator or researcher , or in broader creative and artistic roles .
Utilise our extensive photographic studio facilities including : flash and tungsten lighting setups ; digital and traditional darkrooms , supporting colour and black and white photography ; high-end negative scanners ; inkjet printers ; and projection facilities . Optimise and fine tune your portfolio with : powerful PCs and Macs , loaded with the software used by professionals ; high-spec printers ; and film , video and photography editing facilities . Benefit from opportunities to network , publicise and market your work publicly , so you ’ ll be better prepared to take your creative career to the next level .

CONTACT TIME
You can expect one day of teaching per week ( pro rata for part time students ). At the moment , teaching takes place on Tuesdays , leaving you the rest of the week for self-guided study .

Film and Television MSc Explore how storytelling is changing across TV , film and new media , and develop the skills required to bring the next generation of stories to life .
Hone your existing skills in excellent facilities with the latest equipment used by professional filmmakers , including : video editing suite ; sound recording studio ; multi-camera TV studio ; and location equipment such as Arriflex cameras , and multi-track location audio recorders with timecode .
Analyse the technical , academic and professional skills needed for a career in the industry . Create a film , TV , new media , or crossplatform programme to a professional standard and be supported throughout by expert lecturers with a wealth of experience across the sector . Define , develop and produce your own personal project to industry standards and be ready for your chosen career in the industry , whether as a production manager , researcher , assistant to producer or director , or technical operator .
