We consider that this differentiation is present in our desire to create more positive attitudes and behaviors, through the intervention of parts and services that reflect positivity, peace, tranquility, joy, good energy and pleasure. The brand and its first pieces were finally presented to the world in September 2017, at the famous Maison&Objet fair, in Paris.

With the aim of creating positive sensations and good energy at all stages of the customer experience, as already mentioned, the aspects that distinguish the brand are also the high quality of craftsmanship, the use of excellent materials, the very particular aspect of the pieces and our chromatic choice. All of this makes us stand out within our segment, and makes Royal Stranger an extraordinary brand, which creates exceptional, unusual and bold pieces. True works of art, which reveal differentiating elements in the environment in which they are located.

PL: What is the weight of exports for your company and what is the difference for the domestic market?

SS: Always based on the appreciation of Portuguese craftsmanship and know-how, since its inception, Royal Stranger has naturally revealed itself to be a very international brand. This is reflected in the size of our portfolio of clients, partners and foreign contacts, as well as in all the international events in which we have been present. In fact, 90% of our sales are made to the foreign market.

However, it should be noted that in recent years, the internal market has been increasingly open. This phenomenon has been reflected in the increase in the number of sales to national customers, as well as in new partnerships established with Portuguese entities and companies.

PL: The concern for Ecodesign and the circular economy is increasingly constant. Is it easy to follow these movements?

MR: We have always tried to fulfill this premise because it is something we have as a basis and principle. All of our pieces are designed and thought out so that they can be repaired, upholstered, etc.

When the pieces have some damage caused by use, we encourage the customer to send the piece to us, so that it can be repaired, avoiding waste, and making the customer fall in love with the piece again.

Furthermore, we avoid the use of glues and opt for fittings and other fastening systems. We increasingly look for, invest in and use natural products that have identical principles to ours.
