In the lead-up to race day , the teams organised a ' Marabun ' Sale to raise funds for these worthy causes . The bake sale raised a total of £ 365.28 , which combined with donations collected through JustGiving pages , enabled the teams to raise over £ 1,800.00 .
Both teams triumphantly crossed the finish line , clocking in at just over 4 hours and 22 minutes , and proudly received their Yorkshire Marathon Team Relay medals .

Pock Connects is the official network for the Pocklington School community , linking over 600 members , consisting of alumni , current and former parents , governors , life patrons , staff and supporters , all eager to share their knowledge and expertise to assist current students and each other throughout their careers . Current students can interact with network members through the Pock Connects ' bitesize ' programme which features a series of short talks and discussions with network members giving students insights into various business sectors .
Recently , we were thrilled to welcome back to school OPs Izzy Walsh ( 13-21 ) and Henry Kay
( 13-21 ). They spoke to Sixth Form modern languages students about university life , their year abroad , and careers in modern languages . Additionally , Henry provided our Oxbridge applicants with useful information about the application process .
This was followed by a Pock Connects talk as part of a Sixth Form assembly in October when OP Gina Stringer ( 00-07 ), Founder of Stand Tall PR & Communications , shared her inspiring career journey since leaving school . Gina highlighted the importance of making connections and explained how she leveraged the Pock Connects network to support her own career progression .
