Music

The Music Department has enjoyed a busy and productive Michaelmas Term . Highlights included the Autumn Concert featuring outstanding solo performances from our Music Scholars , two captivating carol services sung by the choir , a lively Rush Hour Concert , and a showcase of exceptional talent at the Soloists ’ Concert . The Department also celebrated the success of pupils who sat ABRSM music examinations this term .

Charity Committee

Throughout the Michaelmas term , the School has held a series of successful fundraising events . From cake sales and the Genes for Jeans initiative to a lively Lower School Christmas disco , benefiting BBC Children in Need , the efforts of pupils and staff have been commendable .
As the term draws to a close , the Charity Committee can look back on several impressive events they have organised . These include the Spirit of Christmas gift appeal , which involved Lower School pupils , and the Middle School and Sixth Form Winter Coats appeal , with the Head of Charity Committee , Ruby Watson , making an appearance on Harrogate local radio to promote this worthwhile cause . The term concluded with the traditional Christmas jumper non-uniform day , which raised funds for ‘ Fostering in Hull ’.
The Charity Committee has also selected four house charities to support during the upcoming Lent term charity week and the bi-annual school walk this summer :
