The Rush Hour Concerts were another highlight of the term , with upper strings and brass taking centre stage in two captivating performances .
Our Music Scholars provided the choir for the Confirmation service , singing a mass setting and an anthem and the School Choir were able to sing an anthem at the Commemoration Service .
The Spring Concert was a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our musical ensembles . It was a joyous celebration of music , featuring performances from our Swing Band , Senior Strings , Brass Group , Woodwind Group , Rock Group , Orchestra , and Choir who captivated the audience with their talent and passion .

CCF Boarding

The highlight of this term has been our out of school days . The RAF section visited RAF Leeming and had a very busy schedule organised , spending time with several elements of RAF station life including the Hawk trainer Sqn . The Army section spent their day at Driffield training area where the sections enjoyed stands such as Sniper stalk , obstacle crossing and paintballing , all organised to test existing skills and teach new ones .
Both groups had a great time and are now looking forward to the Summer term and further opportunities with RAF flying days and an overnight exercise coming up .
Lt Andrew Clark , OC Army Section
The main boarding events of the term have been the annual Chinese New Year Supper to mark the start of the year of the Rabbit , and our first ever Easter Formal dinner . The Saturday morning programme has seen boarders learn new skills with four week courses in Cooking , Dance , Martial Arts , and Dj-ing . There have been multiple trips out , including a visit to the National Coal Museum , a night-time match at Hull City , and Axe-Throwing ! Congratulations as well to our boarders basketball team for their recent victories .
