How long is a Traineeship?
A traineeship lasts a minimum of six weeks
and is no longer than six months. This is the
optimum time to provide you with the right
experience and skills to make a fast-track
journey to an apprenticeship or job.
During this time we will assess your progress
and if you are work ready we will find the
right employer for your apprenticeship.
If you need a little longer to brush up on
your confidence and other work skills, then
we will continue to progress you at your own
pace until you feel you are work ready.
17-year-old Joe Bickley, is a traineeship success story
Joe started with PM Training with
a bubbly personality and positive
outlook where he quickly completed
a business administration study
programme and gained a diploma.
Joe said: “I started at PM Training not
long after I’d left school and I was
feeling a bit lost because
I hadn’t done as well as I’d
hoped at school.
After a few months he completed his
traineeship working with
customers at Midland Heart and was
identified as work ready.
“Doing different types of work
experience gave me a better sense
of direction and I discovered I enjoy
working with customers.
He was quickly offered an
apprenticeship with Whitegates
Estate Agents in Hanley.
“I never thought I’d work in an office
but now I’m at Whitegates I love
it. The best part is working with
everyone in this team, they’ve been so
supportive and helpful.”
