Construction and engineering Manufacturing Plumbing Building services Business admin & customer service I.T. and social media Call centre operations Window installation Gas and heating maintenance Hospitality and catering and many more How long is a Traineeship? A traineeship lasts a minimum of six weeks and is no longer than six months. This is the optimum time to provide you with the right experience and skills to make a fast-track journey to an apprenticeship or job. During this time we will assess your progress and if you are work ready we will find the right employer for your apprenticeship. If you need a little longer to brush up on your confidence and other work skills, then we will continue to progress you at your own pace until you feel you are work ready. 17-year-old Joe Bickley, is a traineeship success story Joe started with PM Training with a bubbly personality and positive outlook where he quickly completed a business administration study programme and gained a diploma. Joe said: “I started at PM Training not long after I’d left school and I was feeling a bit lost because I hadn’t done as well as I’d hoped at school. After a few months he completed his traineeship working with customers at Midland Heart and was identified as work ready. “Doing different types of work experience gave me a better sense of direction and I discovered I enjoy working with customers. He was quickly offered an apprenticeship with Whitegates Estate Agents in Hanley. “I never thought I’d work in an office but now I’m at Whitegates I love it. The best part is working with everyone in this team, they’ve been so supportive and helpful.” 13
