Jump on-board a fast-track journey Traineeships prepare you for your next steps by helping you become work-ready, to secure an apprenticeship or other sustainable jobs What is a Traineeship? Traineeships are perfect if you need a short boost of confidence or work experience. As part of a traineeship you’ll undertake an induction and a focused period of work preparation training, covering areas like CV writing, interview preparation, working as part of a team, attendance and workplace behaviour. Plus, you’ll be given meaningful written feedback and an interview – either for a job vacancy where there is one available or an ‘end of placement’ interview. Here are some of the 1000 companies we work with to create opportunities... 12 www.pmtraining.org.uk A key element is on-the-job work experience with a local business putting you directly into a work environment with a dedicated team of support and guidance. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain an accredited qualification to improve your employability skills, looking at your timekeeping, motivation and confidence ready for an apprenticeship or job. If you don’t already have grades A*- C in English and maths then these crucial employability skills are also developed. Who is it for? Traineeships are available to 16 - 24 year olds who are qualified below level three, are not currently in a job and need to brush up on their employability skills and work experience. If you want a fast-track route to an apprenticeship or job then traineeships are for you. What can I earn? You’ll get a weekly bursary plus support with travel costs and a recommend-afriend scheme, so you can start earning straight away.
