Secondary Education
At the International School of Toulouse, the secondary education curriculum focuses on fostering flexible learning skills to help students adapt in the face of change. Middle school courses are designed to meet the needs of the diverse, international student body. Small class sizes and individual access to laptops and technology allow for individualized learning, enabling each student to work at their own pace. The curriculum promotes collaboration, independent learning, and the development of transferable skills across subjects. Students are encouraged to appreciate cultural diversity and

respect for others, with a focus on building good relationships and learning to self-manage. We also place importance on allowing students to integrate into their host country. Language being the starting point, French classes are based on each student’ s individual needs, whatever their ability is on arrival, be it beginner, intermediate or native. There is great emphasis placed on celebrating French culture and using the local environment to promote it. The school’ s ethos fosters a caring, respectful environment where each student is valued as an individual. |
Extra Activities
The International School of Toulouse offers a variety of enriching
events, excursions, and extra-curricular activities to enhance students’ learning experiences and promote holistic learning. Regular trips to Toulouse help students appreciate the region’ s language, history, and culture, while residential trips across France and Europe further broaden their horizons. Extra-curricular activities include clubs in creative writing, music, science, art, mathematics, and drama, with various school productions such as Shrek The Musical and High School Musical. Music education is offered from Grade 2 to Grade 12, with instrumental
