The headquarters for Cummins Southern
Africa is in Waterfall City, Johannesburg.

C
ummins, a global power leader
and corporation of complementary
business units that design,
manufacture, distribute, and service
a broad portfolio of power solutions,
officially launched its state-of-the-art
premises in the highly acclaimed business
area of Waterfall Logistics Precinct in
Waterfall City at the end of March.
The Power Hub, a 15 355m² facility,
holding a substantial R350-million
investment, houses the Cummins
Southern Africa Regional Headquarters,
the Master Rebuild Centre (MRC),
Africa Learning Centre, and Gauteng
Operations. The launch heralds the
completion of a three-year project,
culminating in the creation of a world-
class sales and service facility. The new
premises are geared to ensure ease
of business dealings for customers
and support of the Cummins vision of
exceeding customer expectations while
improving operational efficiencies in a
collaborative manner.
The managing director of southern
Africa, Racheal Njoroge, commented:
“We are extremely excited to officially
launch our new state-of-the-art facilities.
The architectural layout has been
optimally and uniquely designed, adopting
the Cummins Smart Office (CSO) concept
to create a space that enhances internal
collaboration, encourages engagement,
and thereby accelerates a solution-
orientated approach. Employees and

customers alike will appreciate the
value these premises will bring to their

The company’s relocation from the
Kelvin and Longmeadow offices to
the award-winning Waterfall Logistics
Precinct is also of critical importance, as it
positions the company at the epicentre of
Gauteng’s most dynamic and strategically
located business hub. “We have over
500 employees, and at this particular
facility, there are 250,” says Njoroge.
Acknowledging the strategic significance
of the new premises and showcasing
the power leader’s vote of confidence
and commitment to the southern Africa
region, visiting dignitaries from the global
headquarters in Columbus, Indiana, in the
United States included the company’s
chairperson and CEO, Tom Linebarger; the
VP and president: distribution business,
Tony Satterthwaite; and the chief human
resources officer, Jill Cook.
