many team members, who embodied
the spirit of teamwork and innovation to
deliver this facility. Above and beyond
the team, we also had great partners
alongside us — we have to thank our
esteemed customers, without whom
we wouldn’t have a reason to come
to work every day. Thank you for the
opportunity and enabling us to provide
you with more solutions in the future,
and a thank you to our employees for
bringing their best selves to work each

Africa region, brings together a host of
Cummins technically advanced expertise
from mining, power systems, automotive,
and technical training. Additionally, the
facility provides the latest cutting-edge
technology to meet industry needs: a
3 500hp AVL Dyno Test Cell that will
test some of Cummins’ largest engines
to full power; a precision-driven spray
booth large enough to accommodate the
most powerful Cummins engines’ paint
applications; and an environmentally
advanced water purification plant — an
efficient waste water treatment system
that recycles 80% of water used in the
Master Rebuild Centre.
The Power Hub also launches new
progressive build processes that
substantially reduce the overall build
time while improving quality output.
The facility, being part of the Cummins
Distribution Business Unit, focuses on
sales and aftermarket servicing. “The
Master Rebuild Centre continues to be
our focal point, supporting the mining
industry and providing rebuilt engines so
that customers can enjoy a reliable supply
of engines for uninterrupted operations,”
says Njoroge.
The CSO design encourages improved
collaboration and innovative thinking
among employees. “For us as employees,
this place that we now call home, is really
a fortress for us, where collaboration and
the work environment are part of the
design, allowing us to work as a team as
we find new solutions for the betterment
of all stakeholders,” says Njoroge. Overall,
a win-win facility for both employees and
customers alike.
