Outline a plan of action to visit 3-5 classrooms of teachers with varied teaching abilities. Prior to going into the classroom, the ILT should go through each indicator on the rubric and highlight key lookfors; measurements and critical attributes.
All members of the ILT go into the same classroom at the same time. Each observation should last from 10-12 minutes. After leaving the classroom, the ILT should find a private location to debrief. The debrief includes going through each indicator and ensuring you are aligned on the rating each member provided for each indicator. If there is a discrepancy, the group should use the critical attributes on the rubric and the measures for each catergory to guide the discussion.

After you have calibrated on the domain, each ILT member is assigned teachers to observe. Divide and conquer. The tracker below allows us to monitor teachers over the course of time you are focused on a particular domain. If a teacher is not rated effective or higher, leaders should continue to cycle back through providing coachable bite-size feedback until the teacher achieves success. The example below show how teachers continue to receive coaching and feedback until they are effective in the domain.
This process is repeated each time you start a new required domain.
