Coaching Conversations & Feedback
The conversation and feedback portion of the PLA Coaching Cycle process is the most important part of the cycle. It is important to have the conversation within 24-48 hours of the observations. This should be time that is set aside to sit down with the teacher and discuss the observation. Leaders should try to allow the teacher to express what they felt went well and where they could make adjustments to improve the lesson. As the conversation unfolds, the leader should log the details of the conversation on the Coaching Conversation template in the platform.
You can log a conversation two different ways. You can log it after submitting the observation, and you have the feedback form open. You will find the button under the teacher's profile called, "Log Coaching Conversation".
You can also choose to "Log Coaching Conversation" by clicking on the link under the teacher's profile. Then you can choose the date you want to add the feedback for once in the conversation template. See below~
