Key Initiatives to Early Education( KITE)
KITE is Enfield ' s early childhood collaborative. Through partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, agencies, businesses, and community organizations, KITE works to strengthen opportunities and supports for young children and families throughout the community.

Transition Supports
Transitions are important milestones for children and families. SELC staff work closely with families and receiving schools or programs to support successful transitions:
• Into preschool
• Between classrooms and programs
• From Birth to Three services
• From preschool to kindergarten
Families are encouraged to participate in transition activities, share information about their child, and communicate any questions or concerns that may support a successful transition experience.
Grievance Procedures
SELC is committed to maintaining positive relationships with families and believes that most concerns can be resolved through open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Families are encouraged to discuss questions or concerns with the individual most directly involved whenever possible. Staff members are committed to working with families to resolve concerns in a timely and respectful manner.
