Section 504
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act protects individuals with disabilities from discrimination and ensures equal access to educational opportunities.
Students who qualify may receive accommodations and supports that allow them to access and participate fully in school programs and activities.
Family Participation
Families are important members of the decision-making process and are encouraged to actively participate in meetings, discussions, and planning related to their child ' s development and services.

Health, Safety, and Wellness
The health, safety, and well-being of children are central to everything we do at SELC. We partner closely with families to support healthy habits, ensure safe learning environments, and provide children with the care and support they need to fully participate in school experiences.
Health Requirements
Children must have current health documentation, immunizations, and required health forms on file before attending school, in accordance with Connecticut State regulations, Enfield Public Schools requirements, and Head Start Performance Standards.
Required documentation may include:
• A current physical examination
• Documentation of required immunizations
• Vision and hearing screening information, as applicable
• Health history information
• Documentation related to allergies, chronic health conditions, or specialized healthcare needs
Families will be notified if additional information or documentation is needed.
