Progress Reports and Family Conferences
Families receive progress reports three times each school year.
Progress reports provide information about children ' s growth and development across multiple areas of learning and are used as a tool for ongoing communication between families and staff.
Family conferences provide opportunities to:
• Celebrate children ' s strengths and accomplishments
• Review progress and developmental growth
• Discuss goals and next steps
• Strengthen home-school partnerships
Families are encouraged to share observations, questions, and information about their child ' s growth throughout the year.
School Readiness
School readiness is a shared responsibility among children, families, schools, and communities. At SELC, school readiness includes children ' s development across multiple domains, including:
• Approaches to learning
• Social-emotional development
• Language and literacy
• Cognition and problem-solving
• Physical development
• Independence and self-help skills
Through strong partnerships with families and high-quality learning experiences, we work together to support children ' s successful transition to kindergarten and beyond.
Individualized Supports and Special Education
SELC is committed to supporting the strengths and needs of every child. We recognize that children develop in different ways and at different rates, and we strive to provide learning environments that are responsive, inclusive, and supportive of each child ' s growth and development.
Families are encouraged to share questions, concerns, and information about their child ' s development with program staff.
