Kaira Lyons, APRN: Kaira, thank you so much for going above and beyond to help me my first two weeks as a provider. You have taken the initiative to help me troubleshoot issues, build templates, find information, educate me and proactively go out of your way to make me feel welcome and included. Thank you so much for all of your assistance and encouragement. It means more than you know.- Kristie Callegari
Mary Kilkenny, MD: Dr. Mary Kilkenny is such a calm, peaceful and positive presence. Even in emergencies, she is kind, direct, very competent, professional and a pleasure to work with. I have been an RN here for almost 20 years, and I have NEVER seen a better bedside manner. She listens to people and makes them feel seen and heard. She is very knowledgeable and shares her experience in a way that earns trust and brings peace to all around her.- April Tucker
Sabrina Fabara, MD: Dr. Fabara truly went above and beyond this week. With a full plate of patients— many with complex and demanding needs— she never missed a beat. One patient in particular required extra daily attention, and she spent over an hour each day rounding with them and their family, adjusting pain regimens and starting the conversations to help them understand what chronic pain might mean going forward. Her compassion and patience were incredible. She makes people feel heard, supported, and cared for— not just patients, but colleagues too.- Krysia Cox
Jennifer Racca, MD: Dr. Racca went out of her way to get a special piece of equipment for a young patient who needed a specific NJ tube Renown didn’ t carry. She visited multiple local hospitals to track one down, then spent time troubleshooting the connections to make sure it worked so the patient could get nutrition. She consistently collaborates with nurses and other doctors and goes above and beyond without hesitation.- Elizabeth Early
Derrick Moore, MD: Working with Dr. Moore is always a pleasure. He is consistently happy and genial, frequently seen taking vital signs, ambulating patients and bringing warm blankets and pillows. He continually updates staff and families on care plans and collaborates with APRNs and nurses seamlessly. His genuine care and willingness to pitch in are felt by patients and staff alike.- Jennifer Langham
Henderson Lopez, MD: Dr. Lopez is possibly the best physician I’ ve ever worked with when it comes to patient education and updates. He takes the time day in and day out to make sure patients understand their hospitalization and plan of care, even when it requires significant effort. His commitment ensures patients leave not only treated but informed and reassured.- Jeffrey Noel
Colin Nguyen, MD: Dr. Nguyen has gone above and beyond covering Pediatric Neurology during a time of severe understaffing. He consistently took on extra call, accommodated inpatient consults, and expanded his outpatient schedule to create access for community kids. He has been collaborative and professional with inpatient teams and local pediatricians.- Kris Deeter
Ann Barnet, MD: Ann! Thank you again for volunteering to help with a CISM request debriefing over a traumatic event that affected the entire Reno community and Renown. Our employees benefited from the time, effort, and compassion you poured into this critical support. It was an extraordinary act of care for colleagues during a difficult moment.- Justine Pereyra
