adoption & rescue
Angelo, 2 000 + days in the kennels
Angelo is a gentle soul who has experienced the worst life has to offer but still greets every day with hope.
Sometimes it’ s hard for Angelo to stay hopeful, but the easiest fix for his sad eyes is playtime, and the zoomies always win. He is bouncy and animated, and would be an ideal fit for a very active family. A quick learner, he just wants to make you happy. He loves hiking and going to the beach. In return for affection, he is a strong and completely devoted companion. Angelo will thrive in a house with older kids but no other dogs, and with a strong owner who has time to put in a bit of effort with him.
Nikolai, 1 300 + days in the kennels
Nikolai is a big, goofy, Boxer-Pitty-Africanis mix that has been through the worst but still loves with his whole heart. He has had over three years’ worth of walks that always end back at the kennels. Toy-crazy and full of love, Nikolai is waiting for the right person to come around and show him how wonderful life can be.
He was surrendered to TEARS in terrible shape – starved, and with a tick-borne disease, but he has come a long, long way. He walks well on lead( especially with something in his mouth for comfort!), and he’ s even been awarded a certificate for basic obedience training. He’ s good with dogs when out and about, but would rather be the only dog at home, with no cats. He would thrive with a strong, experienced owner who understands his soft soul.
Sunny will keep you fit
Once known as Skinny, Sunny has blossomed into an energetic, affectionate young dog with a love for cuddles and playtime.
Born in early 2024, she was rescued as a stray from Ocean View. Sunny came in severely underweight and unsure. Now, thanks to care and kindness, her playful spirit has bloomed. She’ s excitable and has the cutest lopsided gallop. Sunny is very serious about her playtime. She loves bouncy balls as much as she loves to bounce around. If you’ re a fitness fanatic yourself, boy-oh-boy, will she motivate you!
While she still needs confidence-building and structure, she’ s highly trainable and eager to please. Sunny would thrive in a home with a patient, big-brothertype dog who won’ t mind her endless enthusiasm. But no cats. She’ s best suited to a home with older kids who can match her joyful energy. Her love for people is unparalleled. She’ s always thrilled to see you and ready for the next cuddle or game. Sunny is a silly, sunshine-filled girl looking for her forever.
