Teddy, a sweet soul
Teddy is a sweet, affectionate dog struggling with kennel life after being returned to TEARS through no fault of his own.
Teddy has had a hard time. He was poisoned by burglars at his previous home, and although he miraculously survived, the experience has left him shaken and has made his adjustment all the more distressing. As a consequence of the poisoning, he suffers from shadow chasing, a neurological issue that causes micro-seizurelike behaviour. What this gentle cuddle-puddle craves is love, attention and a safe place in a calm home. He needs an owner who wants a deeply connected companion. While Teddy is looking for forever, a longterm foster home would also be hugely beneficial. If you can offer him a place to rest easy while he waits, he’ d be eternally grateful.
Neo, a shy boy
Neo takes a while to open up and connect with new people, but once he warms to you, a completely different dog unfurls before your eyes. Watch this shy guy get the wildest, most ridiculous zoomies and always presents his tummy for tickles.
Neo needs a lap to curl up on in the sun at least once a day. He is picky about food but loves everything else! He would thrive with an owner who enjoys teaching him how to walk through the world with trust, and he would also love a canine companion to give him confidence along the way!
If you’ ve been thinking about adopting, please turn that thought into action and adopt this sunny lass or one of these handsome boys.
“ If you’ ve been thinking about adopting, please turn that thought into action and adopt this sunny lass or one of these handsome boys,” says Shapiro.“ They all deserve to know what it feels like to curl up on a couch, nap in a sunny spot, follow their person from room to room and fall asleep each night knowing they are loved, safe and finally home. Whether through a long-term foster placement or a forever home, you can give the greatest gift to these animals that just want to love you in return.”
TEARS will cover all medical care, food and support for fosters. All you need to provide is the love, the home and the heart.
