THE 12-POINT AGENDA FOR 2013

EVELYN GRACE C . SORONGON PMAP President-elect , 2013

I am privileged to serve as your President for 2013 . Considering that 2013 is PMAP ’ s 55th year , the work ahead will be a bit challenging and daunting .

To set the tone of the year , I would like to challenge the PMAP General Membership to share with me the work in setting up the global standards and in keeping the Filipino People Managers at par or even better compared to their counterparts in the region , if not globally .
My goals are aligned with our Strategic Vision for 2016 as follows :
• Create and nurture a community that fosters the strategic development and management of Filipino Human Capital ;
• Promote the development , integration and sharing of expertise and solutions ; and
• Blaze new trails as a thought leader .
As the global business world is undergoing unprecedented changes and turmoil , we as People Managers will be required to find new opportunities in the horizon . We will have to look beyond our HR discipline , likewise , take risks to explore new ideas . We will also play significant roles in charting , designing and implementing changes in the work place . Such being so demands a new breed of People Managers who are well-networked and able to navigate in radically changed work environments . We will take into our hearts the new role and mandate so that we can claim our stake in the organization , which we represent not to mention the respect that we truly deserved .
Together with your newly elected Officers and Board of Directors , I enjoin the PMAP General Membership to commit to “ Global Competitiveness : The Human Capital Mandate ” as our operative theme for 2013 . Along with it is my 12-point Agenda on HUMAN CAPITAL .
