Basic Printmaking Back by popular demand ! Prescott Valley Public Library is offering a free 4-week class on Thursdays ( 1 / 4 , 1 / 11 , 1 / 18 , 1 / 25 ) from 2-4pm . This course will explore basic printmaking skills to create and print . Using hand printing methods , alongside a small flatbed printing press , you will have access to printing a series of personalized handmade cards .

Chill out with a good book during our Winter Reads Adult Program ( WRAP ), January 1-31 , 2018 . Adults can read , attend a library program , or complete other literary related activities to be entered into a prize drawing . Stop by the library ’ s Help Desk to pick up your BINGO Game Board or print one from the library website . ( One BINGO Board Game per person ). Make sure to return your completed BINGO Game Board to the library by January 31st , then “ WRAP ” - up the month by attending the Winter Tea Party on Feb 2 nd from 3-5pm in the PVPL Crystal Room . Coffee and Conversation with the Librarians and Director Graham Chapman of Monty Python once said , “ You see , I don ’ t believe that libraries should be drab places where people sit in silence ; that has been the main reason for our policy of employing wild animals as librarians .” If you ’ d like to find out more about how your local library functions , or just meet some wild animals , come to our first monthly meeting at the Prescott Valley Public Library on Friday , January 26th , from 9-10 am in the Crystal Room of the Library . You may be surprised to learn that they don ’ t just sit and read all day . Federal Employment Workshop The Prescott Valley Public Library will be partnering with the Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System to host a “ Federal Employment Workshop .” This workshop is designed to help veterans navigate USAJOBS and “ How to apply for Federal Employment .” This is a two part program , first part covering “ translating military service to civilian employment ”. Forms will be provided along with instructions and what documentation is needed for federal employment . The second part of the federal employment workshop will provide one-on-one assistance . There will be two Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists to assist veterans . Glassford Hill room on Thursday , January 18th from 5-7 PM and Thursday , January 25th from 5-7 pm .
