Everywhere she looked it was dark, and even worse when she looked up at the night sky and it was pitch black by now. She reached for the smartwatch on her wrist to check the time and gasped when she saw the screen, it was smashed into a million pieces. Then, she remembered the way she blacked out after the episode she had in front of the forest. When she fell, she must’ ve smashed her watch in the process.. The thought made her skin crawl and her palms sweat uncontrollably. She was hyperventilating like a dog panting on a hot summer day.
She looked around again, realizing whoever or whatever brought her here didn’ t just bring her in, they dragged her deep into this forest. All she could see looking around was trees upon trees. The entrance gate was nowhere to be found. She looked to her right and saw a narrow sandy path she decided to follow. Maybe it was a way out, at least that’ s what she really hoped for.
She followed the path for a couple minutes until she found an open area with no trees or plants in it. It was just dirt and sand in a big circle with a small tombstone standing right in the middle. She saw a little fairy circle of light pink mushrooms around the tombstone. She thought that this would be calming if there wasn’ t a tombstone in the middle. She walked closer, somehow not afraid in the moment, she ran her fingers along the side of the grave. She felt the rough and jagged materiel underneath her fingertips. She took a step back to read it. Underneath the RIP it read:
Here lies James Louis 1823-1836 a brother, a nephew, and a son. Cause of death: unknown. James got lost in the Haunted Forest and never returned. They found his body in an open area in the forest surrounded by a fairy circle of mushrooms all around him. He was buried there, and now his soul lies forever trapped in the Haunted Forest, unable to leave.
Needless to say, she was taken aback by this. She put two and two together and realized she was in the area where he was found and buried. She took another step back, and then another, and before she knew it, she was running. That didn’ t last long because after a second she heard a rustling noise. She whipped around and saw a white yet transparent figure hiding behind the tombstone. He looked up at her with big blue eyes, and waved. Her jaw dropped lower than Jeremy’ s grades and she was completely paralyzed in fear, unable to move a muscle. Then, she broke out of it, and screamed“ GHOST!” And booked it deeper into the forest. The ghost chased after her crying out“ Wait! Wait please!” However Allie wasn’ t having it. She kept running and then looked back at the ghost coming up close behind her until BAM! She tripped and fell over a tree branch and everything went black, AGAIN!
