Metro RF has a variety of skilled mentors . Some mentors help with educational classes , while others help adjust to the facility ’ s environment .
The Georgia Department of Corrections ( GDC ) has more than 200 mentors within their facilities . The goal of the mentorship program is to have 10-15 mentors in each GDC facility . The program requires offenders interested in being mentors to submit applications , participate in interviews , complete required training , and be evaluated yearly for mentorship .
