GDC Stops illegal substances and items from entering facilities .
On February 5 at Smith State Prison , Glennville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle . A vehicle search was conducted , and 6 bundles of unknown contraband and a gun were located . The three occupants , Kentavious Hardy , Romano Hightower , and Monica Martin were arrested and taken to Tattnall County Sheriff ’ s Office .
On March 5 at Calhoun State Prison , a traffic stop was conducted on two vehicles near the facility . The drivers of the vehicles were Kieshana Davis and Ashont ’ e Cushions . Davis stated that they dropped off two individuals attempting to drop contraband at the facility . The GDC Canine unit were able to locate civilians Jacorey Streeter and Ryan Rugg who were on facility grounds . A search of both vehicles found guns , drones , debit cards , cell phones , marijuana , methamphetamine , and tobacco . Davis , Cushions , Streeter , and Rugg were all arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail .
