Men’ s Baseball Team Wins the NJCAA DII World Series Championship Game

The Pasco-Hernando State College( PHSC) Bobcats baseball team won the 2025 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series Championship Game in Enid, Oklahoma, on May 31. This World Series win marks the first baseball national championship win in the College’ s history.

After the game, # 20 Brandon Durfee was named the tournament’ s MVP and Outstanding Offensive Player, while PHSC’ s athletic director and head baseball coach, Lyndon Coleman, received the Coach of the Tournament Award.
The NJCAA also announced the honors for the all-tournament team, naming four PHSC players: # 8 Grant Jordan, # 5 Rano Cruz, # 1 Bryce Habuda and # 30 Gavin Zassenbraker.

PHSC Athletic Academic Award

For the fifth time in seven years, the women’ s softball team won the PHSC Athletic Academic Award during the 2024-2025 academic year, with a team GPA of 3.48!

PHSC Athletics additionally had five teams produce GPAs of 3.00 or higher this past season.
