Board of Trustees Elects New Annual Leadership
TRUSTEE UPDATE
The Pasco-Hernando State College District Board of Trustees( DBOT) elected new board leaders at a meeting held on July 15 at the College’ s East Campus. In a unanimous decision, Trustees Nicole Newlon, J. D., and John Allocco Jr. were elected to serve, respectively, as chair and vice chair of the board for the 2025- 2026 academic year.

Marilyn Pearson-Adams, outgoing chair, was recognized for her exemplary leadership through her 2024-2025 term. Pearson-Adams has served as a trustee since 2014.

During the board meeting held on September 16 at the College’ s East Campus, David Secrest was elected as the student representative for the 2025-2026 academic year. The student representative is the spokesperson for students’ interests during board meetings and other governing events, keeping the board connected to the needs and priorities of the student body to ensure that the board remains aware of students’ perspectives.
