TRUSTEE UPDATE

PHSC District Board of Trustees, Service Recognized

On February 18, Pasco-Hernando State College’ s District Board of Trustees held their regular meeting at the Spring Hill Campus and announced the departure of Trustee Rebecca Schulkowski, Pharm. D., Vice Chair, effective in March 2025. PHSC additionally bids farewell to two resigning members, Lee Maggard and Ryan Brady, effective as of May 2025.

Schulkowski was initially appointed to the College’ s District Board of Trustees by Governor Ron DeSantis in March of 2021. Her dedicated years of service on the Board are greatly appreciated, and PHSC wishes her well in her professional endeavors.

Maggard announced his departure from the Board of Trustees in May 2025, following his appointment in February 2018. As a proud PHSC graduate, Maggard has demonstrated steadfast dedication and advocacy for the college throughout his years of service. His long-standing commitment to the institution is deeply valued and sincerely appreciated.
Brady announced his departure from the Board of Trustees in May 2025, concluding a year of dedicated service following his appointment in April 2024. PHSC deeply appreciates his commitment, insight and contributions during his tenure.

Board of Trustees Welcome New Changes

As PHSC bids farewell to Schulkowski, the board voted Trustee Nicole Newlon, J. D., as the new Vice Chair, effective March 2025. The District Board of Trustees officially announced Trustee Newlon as their new Vice Chair during their February 18 regular meeting.

During the District Board of Trustees Special Meeting, held on May 2, 2025, two new board members from Hernando County were introduced by District Board of Trustees Chair, Marilyn Pearson-Adams, as: Gene Bell and Kirk Wilson. Additionally, during the Regular Meeting held on May 20, 2025, the Board welcomed gubernatorially reappointed trustee Jeffrey Harrington, Ph. D., for Pasco County following his departure in May 2024.
PHSC is pleased to welcome these leadership changes and new trustees to the board.
