National Philanthropy Day
he Nature Coast Chapter of the Association
of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) hosted
their ninth annual National Philanthropy Day in
November. The annual event celebrates charitable
donations and volunteerism from organizations and
individuals. The PHSC Foundation is honored to be
a sponsor of the event and nominated the following
organizations and individuals for their philanthropic
efforts.
Philanthropic Corporation of the Year: Tampa
Electric Company (TECO)
Philanthropic Service Organization of the
Year: Hardy Benevolent Trust Fund, Roy and
Martha Hardy (posthumously) and members of
the Hardy Benevolent Trust Fund Board

Special congratulations to the PHSC nominee, Rao
Musunuru, M.D., who received the Philanthropist
of the Year award. Dr. Musunuru has been a PHSC
District Board of Trustee for more than 20 years and
generous supporter of many worthwhile organizations
and causes throughout the community.
