The SunTrust Foundation recently provided the PHSC Foundation with a $ 5,000 contribution toward First Generation Scholarships. Their donation was matched by the First Generation Matching Grant
Program, allocating $ 10,000 for PHSC student scholarships.
David Thomson provided a gift of $ 1,000 to the corpus and annual distribution of the Janet G. Thomson Scholarship. The scholarship supports students exhibiting financial need while experiencing personal and academic hardships.
The Bayfront Health Dade City Volunteer Foundation, Inc. recently provided a gift of $ 5,500, extending a twenty-year partnership with PHSC. The funding contributes toward the Vonnie Roberts Memorial Scholarship, designated for East Campus / Dade City PHSC students enrolled in nursing and health programs. The scholarship, established in 2013, honors the passing of Vonnie Roberts, a nurse at Bayfront Health Dade City. To date, the fund has provided $ 7,650 in scholarships to eight nursing and health students. Since 1998, the Bayfront Health Dade City Volunteer Foundation has provided over $ 430,000 to PHSC designated for student scholarships and nursing simulation / clinical laboratory equipment.
