operations and special maintenance projects. Youth sports, including tennis, golf, and field sports, receive substantial volunteer assistance as well as financial contributions. Locust Grove National Historic Landmark and Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, both receive essential support from their partner non-profit corporations. The Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy has been a long standing partner in the maintenance and improvement of the Olmsted-designed parks and parkways. The Louisville Metro Parks Foundation and Wilderness Louisville are each dedicated to beneficial projects for the Department and its users. These and other partnerships require substantial time and attention from Department administration and staff, but are necessary to supplement the appropriated funds and earned income. F3.
