Not everyone gets to plan their wedding with their mother.” They included Lauren’s grandmother in as many of the bridal planning occasions as possible. Clyde’s uncle, Bill Horton of Bill Horton Designs and his staff produced all of the floral designs for the wedding. They were, of course, dazzling. “I told him, ‘I want them to look like this,’ and he made it happen,” she said. “The crux of our wedding was that we wanted something that no one else had,” she said. “We wanted something that was distinctly ours.” Lauren had a set vision in her mind of what she want- ed her wedding to be. “I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to convey to everyone exactly I wanted,” Lauren said. On October 19, 2019, almost a decade from the day Clyde and Lauren met, they were married. “I walked in and, oh-my-gosh, they did it. They pulled it off. It was beautiful.”
