Student Driving Policy
1. Please reduce your speed to 10 mph upon entering the campus driveway. 2. Use extreme caution as you drive around the curve heading for the high school parking lot. 3. Remember it is ILLEGAL to pass a school bus that has its flashing lights on. This law applies to our parking lot as well. Bus drivers have the right to report those who pass them when their lights are flashing. Please wait patiently for the bus drivers to allow for safe movement of their passengers— our children. 4. Do not pass cars that are unloading or loading students. 5. Stop at all stop signs and yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. 6. Refer to the traffic and parking map( see addendum) for the travel patterns for the safe routes of buses and cars. Note that all traffic exiting the school property from 3:00-3:30( and 1:00-1:30 on early dismissals) must turn RIGHT out of both driveways.
7. Students whose parents / guardians wish to supervise them on the playground or field after school must remind their students to obey all school rules regarding the proper use of playground equipment and general safety. Students cannot remain on school property after dismissal without direct supervision by a parent / guardian. Students must not be permitted to play on the blacktop until after 3:30 PM when traffic has subsided.

Alternate Transportation

If a student will be going home with a friend after school, a note must be sent to school by the student’ s parent and the parent who will be providing alternative transportation. If an alternate ride arrangement is necessary, we will require a note from the parent indicating the driver’ s name and relationship to the student.( Identification may be requested.)
