Daily Schedule
Learning Management System( LMS) Students in Grades 9-12 will use Google Classroom( an LMS), which will be integrated with Sycamore and ParentSquare.
Social Media Cornerstone maintains a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram. The purpose of these accounts is to build a sense of community among our current families and within the greater community. Additionally, the PTFA also maintains a Facebook Group and page that allows parents to communicate with one another as they organize upcoming PTFA events.
Email Communication It is expected that all parents will provide the school with an accurate email address for an account that will be checked regularly. This is the email address to which all communication through ParentSquare will be directed according to your settings preferences.
Each teacher and office staff member has an email address that uses the following pattern: first initial and last name @ contactccs. org( i. e., tsnyder @ contactccs. org.). The main office email address is office @ contactccs. org.
External Website Cornerstone also maintains an external website at www. TheCornerstoneChristianSchool. com, which is primarily designed for those families who are not yet a part of the school community.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parents will attend conferences with their students’ teachers at the end of the first and third quarterly marking periods( November and April) to obtain the students’ report cards. It is recommended that both parents attend these conferences with the classroom teacher.
Parents are asked to sign up for conferences directly through Sycamore; they may choose at that time which teachers with whom they would like to meet. Two early dismissal days are placed on the school calendar for each set of conferences. One day is designed for in-person conferences, and one day is designed for virtual conferences. Parents are encouraged to select the option that is best for them.
Conferences throughout the school year should not be limited to these times, however. Conferences may be initiated by the parent, teacher, or building principal at any time there is a question about student progress or student responsibility. Parents may request a special meeting by calling either of the school offices.
