abilities and personality who learns to live and work with others at home, in the church and in the changing secular society. S / he interacts with and is taught by parent and teacher models that are themselves born again and have this perspective on life.
The authority for such an education comes both from God’ s command that children be taught to love God and place Him first in their lives, and from the fact that parents are responsible for the total education and training of their children. At the parent’ s request, the Christian school, along with the church, becomes a partner in giving this education. The Christian school is an extension of the local evangelical church’ s Christian education program, serving the parent in fulfilling their responsibility of educating the child.
ACCREDITATION
ACSI Accreditation
The Cornerstone Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International( ACSI). The Pre-K through Grade 12 program is accredited by the same organization and approved by the state of Connecticut.
MSA-CESS Accreditation
Cornerstone is also accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools – Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools( MSA-CESS). It is a non-profit organization that fosters school improvement at an early age through higher education and other educational institutions through self-study, evaluation, and accreditation.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The Cornerstone Christian School is a ministry of the Manchester Church of the Nazarene( MCN) at 218 Main Street, Manchester, CT. The school and its board operate under the direction of the MCN pastor and the church board. As a ministry, all aspects of school life are in harmony with established policies of the Manchester Church of the Nazarene through its board.
PROCEDURES FOR ADMISSION
Eligibility
As a private school that is privately funded, we are unable to admit students with special needs who require special education services. In limited cases, we can accept students with basic ISPs( Individualized Service Plans) and / or 504 Plans that we may consider for transition to a Cornerstone Accommodation Plan( see inside for more information).
