ECE CENTRE
Assemblies are held each week on Tuesday mornings from 8:45 am to 9:10 am , and are led by the Director of the Junior School .
GRADE 1 TO 7
Assemblies are held each week on Mondays from 8:25 am to 8:55 am . The Monday assembly is led by the director of the Junior School and includes student presentations and special guests . Grade 7 students often plan and implement assemblies as part of the Middle School leadership program .
Summer Camp
Kinder Camp is a popular activity for young CHS girls in July . The camp is organized in the ECE Centre for girls in Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten . Sessions take place over four weeks in the summer months and are one week in length . Camp runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm , with an option for additional care before and after camp . Girls bring their own snack and lunch from home . Registration is an online process that begins in the spring .
Kinder Camp is a special opportunity for girls currently in Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten to enjoy relaxed , fun-filled activities . The ECE Centre and Crofton House School ’ s expansive outdoor campus provide a safe , funfilled and enriching summer camp experience . Sessions include experiences with a focus on art , nature , cooking , baking , science , storytelling , games and creative activities .
Valuables & Lost and Found
Valuables
Students should not bring valuables or large sums of money to school at any time . If a student must bring money or valuables , she should give them to her teacher , the director or assistant directors , or the Junior School Main Office for safekeeping . If valuable items are found by a student , they should be turned into the ECE Office or the Junior School Main Office .
Lost and Found
All personal items should be clearly labelled with name and grade . Lost items are placed in the Lost and Found outside the Junior School Main Office . Lost items that are clearly labelled with student names are returned promptly . Items such as water bottles , food containers and school supplies are difficult to return to the owner when unlabelled and will be discarded .

Active Play Policy
At Crofton House School we believe in the importance of fostering the healthy growth and development of our students through a variety of physical activity opportunities . Children in our ECE Centre partake in daily active play which includes moderate to vigorous physical activity that raises their heart rate and develops body control and movement . Active play opportunities in Junior Kindergarten aim to help build strong bones and muscles , improve balance and coordination , and develop gross motor and fine motor skills . In addition , active play helps promote children ’ s confidence , concentration , thinking and social skills .
