School Routines
Attendance Procedures
The Junior School ( Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7 ) follows a staggered schedule at the beginning and end of each day . Times of arrival and departure from school vary depending on your daughter ’ s grade .
ECE CENTRE
Students who are late must be signed in at the ECE office . Enter the ECE via the front office entrance and buzz for entry .
School in the ECE Centre begins at 8:30 am . Families should arrive between 8:20 am and 8:30 am . Upon arrival at school , students enter the classroom and connect with their teacher .
The school day in the ECE Centre ends at 3:10 pm . Students may be picked up between 3:10 pm and 3:25 pm . When your daughter leaves school , connect with the classroom teacher for goodbye routines .
When a student is absent for any reason , the parent / guardian must notify the ECE Centre office before 8:30 am on the first day of the absence and each day thereafter . If notification is not received and a student does not arrive , the School will call the student ’ s home as a safety measure .
When the student returns to school , a written record of the absence is required for Senior Kindergarten students for government funding .
The correspondence should be directed to the student ’ s classroom teacher and the office . Email is sufficient as a record of absence .
GRADE 1 TO 3

Students in Grade 1 to 3 are expected to be at school and in their classrooms by 8:05 am daily . Students should arrive between 7:55 and 8:05 am to connect with teachers and friends ; this supports a smooth transition between home and school . Supervision by teachers begins at 7:55 am , and attendance is taken at 8:10 am .
The school day for Grade 1 to 3 students ends at 3:05 pm . Teachers bring thoughtful closure to every day by engaging in a few individual , personal comments with students . Grade 1 to 3 students should be picked up between 3:05 pm and 3:20 pm daily .
