Students who are late must sign in at the Junior School office . Enter the Junior School via the front office entrance and buzz for entry .
Students in Grade 4 to 7 are expected to be at school and in their classrooms by 8:20 am daily . Students should arrive between 8:05 am and 8:20 am to connect with teachers and friends . This supports a smooth transition between home and school . Supervision by teachers begins at 8:05 am , and attendance is taken at 8:20 am .
When a student is absent for any reason , the parent / guardians must notify the Junior School office before 8:30 am on the first day of the absence and each day thereafter . Please contact the administrative assistant of the Junior School . If notification is not received and a student does not arrive , the School will call the student ’ s home as a safety measure . When the student returns to school , a written record of the absence is required for government funding . The correspondence should be directed to the student ’ s homeroom teacher and the Junior School office . Email is sufficient as a record of absence .
Late Start Wednesday
Late Start Wednesdays are scheduled weekly . During this time , teachers are involved in professional development and / or team meetings . On Wednesdays , all Junior School students are asked to arrive between 9:10 am and 9:20 am , with classes starting at 9:20 am . Given there is not a staggered start to the day , families should consider parking off campus and walking their daughter to school , to minimize traffic in the roundabout .
This time was carefully selected at the mid-week point so students can enjoy a slower start to the day with additional time to sleep , supporting a strong end to their busy week . Parents / guardians are encouraged to use this opportunity to book student appointments when possible . The school will provide childcare for working families during Late Start Wednesdays . Registration is required .

Morning Drop-off
